Thanks to TEFL I am delivering more creative lessons that are helping my students at Primary School.

This approaching to English is also useful not just for an english teacher but for teachers that would like to put a better input on their classes.

Though I am not an English teacher nor an English citizen, I am really pleased with all the resources I found during this course because they helped me to improve my English level in many areas ( Grammarly mostly) and encouraged me to help children with a language barrier to become more confident when they are at school.

I found this course to be very good. I don’t really have any complaints. All of the modules were very informative and helped me greatly in the classes that I am currently giving to students. However, I do wish I could still view the course content after completing it as it would be very helpful for revision purposes.

This course was fantastic. I studied at my own pace as time allowed and completed it in just over 5 months (out of 6), completing modules occasionally.The typical time frame of completing the course is 4-6 weeks, which is easily attainable. The modules are well planned out and broken up so that we can truly learn from each section and not be overwhelmed with information. The course also provides good training which gives me confidence, with practice on lesson planning a good feature, including the two end of course assessments. The online functionality is refreshing and makes for comfortable studying. I genuinely recommend this course.

I thoroughly recommend the Combined TEFL course. I was apprehensive of the two day classroom instruction sessions but the instructor immediately made us relax and I felt completely at ease.

I was impressed with the instructors depth of knowledge and they demonstrated excellent teaching and coaching skills.

The two days were challenging and being immediately put on the spot for teaching practice was very rewarding (once the nerves/fear had subsided).

The two days prepared me very well for the online content and I was equally impressed with the detail the online content provided. I was very engaged in the module to test environment and the content flowed easily. The assignments were more challenging but followed on from the online learning very well and I had no problem adapting my learned knowledge to the assignment work.

The feedback received for both assignments was very positive and encouraging with excellent pointers to where I could improve.

All in all I enjoyed the process and the knowledge gained will certainly stand me in good stead for the next step in my teaching journey.

I have recently completed my TEFL with TEFL Academy and could not recommend it more. Each module was informative and interesting and were reviewed with an end of unit test that helped to cement my understanding of the topics. The assignments were great at applying the knowledge I had learned and creating lesson plans and an essay.

My experience with The TEFL Academy was great. Starting with the 20 hour classroom experience was a good choice for me because it made it so much easier to understand what was expected from me in the online course. The online course is filled with exciting ways to teach English as a foreign language. The 10 modules are clear and the activities are a great help to sharpen tour knowledge before going on to the end of module test. I also loved that fact that you have to pass the test to move on to the next module. The TEFL Academy is the best place to get a TEFL experience and certificate.

This was an excellent way of learning about and gaining some experience in teaching TEFL. The online content is extremely useful and accessible. There was enough material to fully prepare you for a TEFL-teaching career. There were plenty of exercises and end-of-unit tests to check your learning and understanding.

The practice element I would also highly recommend. You are given an overview of some of the main themes, an opportunity to ask questions about aspects you don’t understand, an opportunity to practice in front of other students and an opportunity to get ideas and tips from fellow students.

There are two final assessments which check your overall understanding and ability to prepare and plan lessons. These are marked with detailed and useful feedback.

This is ideal for those who have busy lives and need a course to fit around various commitments. It fully prepares you for the classroom without having to spend too much time and money and travelling.

I chose The TEFL Academy online course as it was exceptional value for money and meant I could fit studying into my every day life as and when I could. Plus, I live abroad so it wasn´t possible for me to do the combined course. The flexibility of online studying worked really well for me. I didn´t need to contact a tutor during the course but it was great to know that I could contact someone for help if I needed to. The structure of the course was easy to follow and I liked the fact that you couldn´t move on to the next module until you´d completed the last one and passed the test(s). As well as the modules, they provide loads of additional reading resources so the course really is jam packed full of information. It challenged me sufficiently and also really made me think about what it is to teach English as a foreign language and made me aware of aspects of both teaching and learning that I wouldn´t otherwise have considered. The assignments were especially challenging and the feedback from the tutor was detailed and positive. All in all a really positive experience and great value for money. Also, I received my certificate (posted overseas) within a week of passing! Thank you TEFL Academy.

TEFL course provides an outstanding opportunity to systematize and put things in your head in order, which could have been segmental before.

As a tutor with 6 years of working experience I had many various situations when I was supposed to act differently: choose another activity, pay more attention to eliciting, make sure that the students grasp material properly… TEFL course highlights these mistakes and provides real solutions for that.

It took me 5 months to finish the course but only because I was extremely busy at my (just yet) main job. However it is 100% possible to accomplish it during a month and a half.

Summing up the pros: well-structured material; lots of handy methods, activities and recommendations; useful resources for individual exploration.

As for the cons, I believe it would be great to add more information on national specificity and broader range of life examples covered, as for the most part the examples included Spanish, Thai and Arabian students.

Thanks again for the great course and will be looking forward for more interesting news and updates!

The course at TEFL Academy was well designed and extremely thorough. I loved that it was self-paced, because I have a crazy work/school life and I was able to study in my own time. While the site doesn’t have a phone app that I’m aware of, I was able to access a mobile-friendly version of the website on my phone so I could study from wherever I wanted. The frequent mini-assignments kept me from getting bored with the reading material, and each had a specific purpose so I didn’t feel like I was wasting my time by doing them. The final assignments were no joke, but I felt they were a fair test of how well I could apply what I’d learned and the tutors who marked my final assignments gave really insightful feedback. I have already recommended this course to several friends who want to get certified in TEFL/TESL. 🙂
