After attending the workshops and completing the online course, I feel I have learnt so much with the TEFL Academy. The workshops were extremely helpful and the fact that you can complete the online course at your own pace was a huge plus point for me. I completed it in around 8 weeks but I feel it could’ve been completed in less time than that had I tried! Feedback from the assignments was very helpful and any queries I had regarding the course were answered almost immediately. I can’t fault this course at all and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone who is looking to gain a TEFL qualification.

Having worked as a secondary English state school teacher in the UK for 16 years in the past & having studied Linguistics in the first year of my humanities degree I thought that this would be an easy course for me, but it was hard work, challenging and yet very satisfying. From a teacher’s perspective it is well accredited, well put together, well structured, with very high quality lessons and materials. It took me longer than I thought, but that’s because the course activated my curiosity and so I did plentiful reading around the the lessons and topics. What interested me was the pedagogical approach being promoted by the TEFL Academy, which is inductive learning and sadly this student centred active approach to learning has all but disappeared from UK mainstream schooling and yet it it is clearly a pedagogical style which works very well; I’m looking forward to using this teaching style again. Finally the assignments at the end were rapidly marked and feed back was detailed and balanced. I paid the 50% discounted price of £125 for the course and frankly that is a bargain. Well done TEFL academy. I highly recommend this course, even just as something for an academically minded individual to enjoy doing for fun.

The course was brilliant. The online course was well laid out and I liked how it wouldn’t let you progress until you proved your understanding of the course so far. It also gives some structure to the course so you are not left trying to form your own. The classroom part really brought together everything learnt online. When I finished I got my certificate just a few days later. The course is brilliant value for money and I recommend it to anyone looking to get their TEFL certificate.

I have just recently received a distinction in the TEFL course with the TEFL Academy. I personally feel that doing this course was a great idea and it will help my career and personal development a lot in the future. I have unfortunately only done the online course and cannot really comment on the practice teaching. I have also not completed my CV yet so I cannot comment on job placements either. However, I would highly recommend this course to anyone.

An excellent course guiding one to reach maximum learning out of these 10 modules and assignments. All the modules are highly accessible and easy to get through. The tests are structured such that all cognitive level questioning are used. They are perfectly structured. Handling of the account to process fees was done professionally without a problem. Professional and accountable support was rendered when needed. I have referred a relative to do this course, specifically with this company due to the high level of competency.

I am so happy to have finally finished the TEFL course!! All the information given in the course was very helpful and easy enough to understand. I feel the course has prepared me substantially for a job teaching English. I can’t say much about job placement as I have not looked for a TEFL job just yet…….but TEFL were great at giving advice for cover letter/CV and job resources. I found the classroom hours to be the most effective and useful part of the course as it allowed me to gain experience presenting and teaching English to a class of children. The feedback given after the assessments were also great as well! Thank you TEFL xoxo

Hi all this is a great course to do. I loved the practical side to it as it showed me that I am capable of teaching. Its was a really fun experience. I loved how the onkine material has a succession and you can onky move onto the next section once you are finnished with the previous section. This helps you to remain foucused. In applying what I learnt to doing the assignments, I realised how much I had actually learnt.

I am so glad I registered for this course. It has taught me many important things, such as technical words. I now feel enlightened and confident in many areas. Every skill is very well covered. However, there could have been more explanation on teaching of various reading strategies. The course is well laid out but is challenging, especially the End of Course Assignments. The additional resources were very informative.

Regarding the timing mentioned (120 hours), I feel this is the bare minimum. So if you want to excel, be prepared to do at least 300 hours. I highly recommend this course to anyone wanting to teach English in the future.

I have recently passed the 120 hour TEFL online course. I feel this is one of the best things I have ever done. Being able to do it online and to find out if you’ve passed each module within a few minutes enables you to Do the course at your own speed. I learnt an awful lot at the contact time weekend, this gave me an idea of lesson planning and timing and an opportunity to ask lots of questions. Overall I would recfomend this course to anyone.

Recently completed this course and recommend it to those seeking an online option. I enjoyed being able to work at my own pace, as my personal time frame allowed. The only slight negative is that for the last two assignments students are to receive feedback within 5 days but a couple times the feedback came later. The feedback was constructive and concise but when working under a deadline for completion it does make a difference. That aside – it was certainly a positive course.
