I have to say I really enjoyed both courses that I did through The TEFL Academy – Intensive TEFL Course and The TEFL Academy TEFL Course (120 Hours). I definitely recommend The TEFL Academy courses to those who may have been considering taking them but haven’t had a chance to do so yet.

Apart from guidance received from the tutors which made the whole process of completing the course a lot easier there’s so much fun! I still remember the people that I met at the Intensive TEFL Course. So many different nationalities, cultures etc.

I really appreciate additional instructions and comments received from the tutors throughout the course. I will be definitely recommending the TEFL Academy to my friends!

Having just completed this course, i can say that it was well worth it. I applied for an extension for my course as i was already out in India teaching in a voluntary placement. I feel i wouldn’t have had the confidence to do that if the course had not been so thorough and i learnt so much from it. I use what i learnt every day and i use it to plan lessons for children and consider how best to teach them.

Initially the course was harder than i was anticipating but in a positive way, as i felt there was a real focus on teaching people to become the best TEFL teachers they could, rather than simply getting people through the course.

The practical weekend was fantastic and it was very helpful meeting other people in a similar situation to myself and i feel it really enhanced my learning. I’m still in touch with some people from my weekend and so it was a wonderful opportunity to build a support network because teaching in another country is not easy and it helps to have those connections. The practical weekend was especially beneficial as it focused a lot on the grammar aspect, which for me was a big hurdle but made a lot more sense after this weekend.

I found the online material easy to read and kept in bite size chunks so that you didn’t feel overwhelmed. The information was all relevant and taught at a level that was easy to understand so you didn’t feel weighed down by it all. The only module that seemed particularly hard going was module 3 which was very long but then it had to be as that was the grammar module.

Overall a great course and i’m glad i picked this one as i feel comfortable and confident using what have been taught.

I have just completed my TEFL 120 hr course. l found it harder than l thought which was frustrating at the time but made me dig deep and learn more, and now l feel like l am ready to teach. Overall it was a great journey and the team at TEFL support you every step of the way.

I have just completed the TEFL course and cannot recommend it highly enough! The tutors were incredibly ‘patient’ and professional in responding to my many queries and I cannot thank them enough. I am not a 25 year old wanting to travel and work overseas – been there, done that – but dearly want to teach English online here in Australia.

The course itself was more comprehensive than I imagined but I learned so much and cannot wait to begin teaching. Everything ran smoothly, efficiently and professionally. THANK YOU so much TEFL! 🙂 🙂

I am really impressed with the 120 hour online course which I did through The TEFL Academy. Initially, I was a little bit skeptical as to how well an entirely-theoretical course could prepare me for a practical job such as teaching, but my worries were soon put to rest. The course content often draws your attention towards thinking of a real-life scenario and you find yourself, as a student, envisioning exactly what it would be like in the classroom environment.

The content is intense but laid out in a way that is easy to work through and very comprehensible. The tests were a good way to solidify the knowledge acquired in each module.

I also found it really refreshing to be able to work through the course at my own pace and with my own personal time constraints.

The feedback I received for assignments was very helpful and I was impressed by its depth. I really appreciated the advice and corrections.

Contacting the TEFL Academy for whatever reason was really pleasant as the people are very supportive and understanding.

I really enjoyed my interaction with this institution and would highly recommend it to others. I am so excited for what is in store now that I have my certificate!

I recently completed my course and I found that overall it was a well laid out and easy to follow course. I found the modules were easy to folow and highly relevant and educational. I liked that I could work at my own pace which allowed me to complete my course in 6 weeks! Both the final test and assignments were great, as they covered the modules and also allowed me to “practice” what I’d learnt. The feedback from the teachers were great and helpful.

The reason I gave a 2-Star rating in the Job Placement category is that while The TEFL Academy does provide a listing of many job opportunities available in the UK as well as all over the world, I enrolled in the course with the intention of teaching in Germany. This is in no way the fault of The TEFL Academy, but many language schools in Germany prefer teachers with a CELTA cert. over those with a TEFL cert. Nevertheless, with determination and effort one can find work as a TEFL instructor in Germany with a certification from The TEFL Academy. I would recommend looking into what the preferred type of certification/education level is for the specific country you would like to teach in before enrolling.

Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my decision to receive a TEFL Certification through The TEFL Academy, due to both the convenience that the online aspect of the course provides along with the unbelievable value at which students receive their certification (I paid €200 whereas people I know who took face-to-face courses at other TEFL schools paid €1000+). All of the information covered in the course as well as the detailed and professional feedback from the tutors truly gave me the knowledge and tools that I needed to work as a TEFL Instructor. The instructor for the face-to-face weekend course was extremely knowledgeable and well-experienced, having worked in Germany as an English Teacher for over 12 years. She also provided very specific insights into how to go about finding work as an English teacher in Germany, without which I would not have found my current job. She also provided extremely helpful feedback during our time spent practicing teaching, although students only receive this practice during the weekend course, so if you have zero teaching experience and want a course that focuses on practicing teaching, you may want to look into other options. In conclusion, if you are confident when speaking in front of groups and determined to put in the effort to become an English teacher. I highly recommend this course!

I have just completed the 120 hour TEFL academy course and would highly recommend this course to anyone interested. The course consists of 20 hours face to face with an instructor and the remaining 100 hours online. The 20 hours in classroom were amazing, I met some fantastic people, learnt so much and really felt confident in moving forward to the online section of the course. The online section of the course is broken down into 10 easy to follow modules including lesson plans, essays and a grammar test. After every module I completed the feedback was informative and constructive. I am so happy that I chose the TEFL academy and their ongoing support has been outstanding.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my TEFL course I chose 120 hours including class room training. My instructor Mark was amazing , enthusiastic, patient and an excellent teacher!

The assignments at the end I found challenging but had great scores for both so I obviously know a lot more than I think. I would fell nervous going into a class room as I think the end of topic tests are a little too easy and because there is multi option answers it makes it fairly easy.

Overall good course and I am currently looking for positions to teach although I am finding they all require 1 years teaching experience which I don’t have! So will have to voulenteer to gain experience.

I’m really pleased I chose the 120 hour course, with 20 hours done with an instructor face to face – it really gave me the confidenc to go forward with the rest of the course and it gave me the opportunity to meet other people doing the same course. The instructor was very friendly and clear in her instructions and her encouragement. The modules online were very in-depth and they covered so much material, that I feel really prepared for teaching. The lesson planning assessments have also given me lots of confidence, and they allowed me to be creative and imaginative. The feedback on the assessments was prompt and detailed. A great course!
