I was hesitant at first to complete the TEFL course online as I was concerned about the amount of support I will have. However I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of information provided in the course introduction. Before starting your course you there are introductory videos and information to explain how the course runs. I needed to get in contact with The TEFL academy a few times and they were answered me within 24 hours and were a huge help. I completely recommend this course for those who need a flexible course or for those who have other commitments, the course content is excellent. Before starting the course I was not confident in teaching grammar, however now I have finished I am more than confident in teaching all areas of English.

I have just completed the 120 hrs online course with the TEFL Academy and I would say it was an overwhelming, positive and educative experience. The course is well structured, easy to follow, interesting and quite understandable. Even for a person who is technologically challenged, the course is easy to follow.

The assignments at the end of the course were challenging but interesting at the same time. They test everything that has has been dealt with throughout the whole course and really assess if you did really understand.

I have been teaching for a number of years, but this course has taught me easy understandable methods and strategies one would use to make teaching and learning easier and interesting.It has has revived me and developed me.

I feel so confident to call myself a EFL teacher and I can teach anywhere in the world. I would recommend it to any teacher who is teaching English.

The TEFL videos are exceptionally informative and educative. They helped me a lot guided me when I was dealing with the assignments.

I would like to thank the TEFL Academy staff from all the departments and share my gratitude for their diligent work.

Tutors are professional and hands on.They respond to the opened tickets

and give positive feedback.

I really enjoyed the TEFL course (combined online and 120 hour classroom time) and realised how little of the English grammar I actually know or perhaps forgotten throughout the years. It was very useful and informative and I learned a lot. The modules weren’t too long or tedious and you are given more than enough time to complete this course. Three months was more than enough time for me, although you are given 6 months to complete it. The 120hr class time is very enjoyable and opened my eyes as to how hard foreigners must find learning the English language. We were given many good tips to consider when teaching and the instructor was professional and knowledgeable and made the lesson fun. If you are doubtful like I was then do not think twice and go ahead with this course. It’s a useful course even if you don’t end up teaching. The certificate is good to have for the future especially if you would like to work abroad for a change.

My initial reason for taking a TEFL course was to use the qualification to teach abroad. This I achieved and taught conversational English in Japan, however, the course gave me so much more than this. I learnt a great many things about language learning generally and English learning specifically and genuinely enjoyed the course for my own development, and not just for the purpose of finding a job. The offline face-to-face aspect of the course was really enjoyable and made me feel more confident to start the online training. There were plenty of exercises throughout the course which made me consider how language learners feel and think and how teaching would need to accommodate this. The final assessments were suitably challenging and very enjoyable and I felt a huge sense of achievement on completing the course. If in any doubt as to whether or not to do a TEFL qualification I would say definitely do it, you never know when it might come in use!

The TEFL course was the first course that I have completed online and didn’t really know what to expect. My reasons for taking the 120 hour course was to finally return back to Spain to follow my love of teaching English but with some accreditation. I spent 3 years teaching in an academy in the south of Spain but I knew that the teaching methods that were used didn’t seem to work nor did the students progress, for this reason I was so delighted with the course, because it answered every question I had as to why the students didn’t progress and why they were not focused, not only did it bring to light all my doubts but answered them in such a detailed way that now I feel extremely confident that i can return and really teach Spanish students in a productive and dynamic way.

The presentation of the course is superb, the moduals are so well presented, interesting, easy to follow and concentrated as well as being accurate. The assignments really tested what I had learnt throughout the course and more, i’m not sure if others who have done the course may think the same as me but, the assignments not only covered what you had learnt on the the course but also made you look for and use a vast amount resources from the internet which in turn found 1000,000 interesting and useful other things!

I would also like to thank the online staff and examiners, the feed back was exceptional!

This course was really good because it provided me flexibility with my work schedule. The final two assignments was a big step up from the other modules, a lot harder but I finally manage to get a good grade in the end. I can finally pursue something I like with the certificate that i obtained. I would recommend this course to anyone willing to have a change in career pathway which is always not too late.

I have just completed the 120-hour online course with TEFL Academy and judge it to have been an outstandingly positive personal experience. At first I was concerned about whether I would manage the online learning approach to course delivery. It was my first experience of this type of learning. However, I needn’t have worried at all! The materials were excellent throughout. The language used was so clear even when explaining complex ideas. Some modules (eg the grammar modules) took me a lot longer to complete than others. The module workbooks gave me plenty of opportunities to engage in active learning and there was helpful online feedback for the workbook activities. I found myself looking forward to the time I had set aside for studying! Although the online tests were challenging, they were fair and reflected the module content. It was motivating to get the results of each test immediately it had been completed. The content was wide ranging and varied in the way it was presented. The structure of the course was geared very much to the learner, with important topics revisited in different modules. The end of course assignments were really challenging but relevant, and the tutor feedback was detailed and constructive. Despite initial anxieties, the course ended up suiting me very well because I could work in my own time and at my own pace throughout. I had good tutor support through the e-ticket system. All in all, I really enjoyed the course and I now have a potentially life changing qualification! The course is truly excellent value from many different perspectives and I would definitely recommend it to others.

After feeling quite hesitant in studying TEFL, i decided to clear my mind in hope of a better opportunity and booked with the TEFL Academy.

The 20 hour intensive course was very informative, fun and very extremely easy to adapt to. The weekend course agenda made me want to quit!, but the tutor was very friendly and made the course seem like a walk inthe park.

The online course was very easy to follow and plenty of aspects of teaching were explained thoroughly.

All in all, if you’re thinking of studying TEFL, be sure to use the TEFL Academy. It’s fun, helpful and very beneficial!

I’ve been teaching for 4 years but this is the first time that I see clearly that teaching isn’t something abstract or intuitive. There are certain best practices and strategies that must be followed, which can make teaching effective. I definitely benefited from it, and my students are going to be benefited even more!

The TEFL Academy exceeded my expectations in as far as teaching the teacher of English as a second language is concerned. The content, structure and administration of the course is a well organised mentoring program for a serious budding TEFL teacher. The very method they train you to use is the method they use for instruction and this proves the efficacy of the same. Going through the course in the way the mentors advise not only yields good test marks but it also ensures one learns more and will have more to impart to future students. The end of course assignments are a great challenge to one’s grasp of the taught concepts and call for application of most of the key concepts making them an enriching tool for one looking foward to teaching for the first time. The instructor’s guidance and comments at the end of each assignment open one’s eyes to aspects one will have overlooked hence adding value. The teaching practice is an appropriate launch into the world of teaching to the uninitiated and can reveal the teacher in you that was perhaps lying dormant. Overall the course was an enjoyable journey into being equiped with the neccessary ammunition of knowledge and methods of effective language teaching. Their jobs board too is very helpful and opens early at the assignments stage such that one starts applying early and hence there is a high chance one can get a job as one finishes the course without delay. I did get a job offer while awaiting my second assignment grading. I would unreservedly recommend The TEFL Academy to anyone searching for a well organised academy to train with.
