I benefited by this course more than my highest expectations. The teachers were brilliant and super helpful in every sense. Top notch professionals in their field who ran challenging and yet fun classes.

Originally wanting to do this course online, I am so glad I decided to pay the higher price and do this course in person and in class. Especially with the volume of teaching practice sessions and feedback we received, you get the feeling that the course truly prepares you for planning and running a class and does not just teach and test you on theory alone. A very effective format that I strongly recommend to anyone who wants to do a TEFL course.

The course was short and quite intense at times with a lot of study . Even as a native English speaker the grammar was tedious and I really had to study parts of it that I didn’t even know that well. Teaching English is challenging and you always need lots of preparation and you really need to know your lesson plans inside out. I was serious about doing the course but others were not as serious or perhaps not that interested so make sure it’s what you want to do before signing up. The teachers really put their time an effort into assisting the students throughout the course. The teaching practise was very important because learning from a book is totally different to being “hands on” . The fact the course is practical rather than online is a huge benefit as you really get a sense and feel for the whole thing and get to meet the students your teaching. My experience was overall quite good besides the whole covid-19 crisis which developed in the final week or 2 of the course and unfortunately I had to return to home . I will return to Prague someday to teach I love the city. Tefl course is worth it but be sure its something that your interested in trying. A special Thank you to all the teachers throughout the course. 😁

I recently took the February intake tefl cousrse in Prague. I wanted to travel & have always wanted to teach so it sounded like a win win situation for me.

The course content itself I found pretty intense, and with the teaching practise also to prepare during most weeks it was certainly a challenge. The teachers were good support and helpful throughout the course, and tried to put some of us “stress heads” at ease which was reassuring.

The accomodation provided was very suitable and well organised and travel also.

I wanted to stay in Prague and find teaching work straight after the course, but unfortunately due to the outbreak of covid19, I had to return home and put my plans on hold which was disappointing. However hopefully when things settle back I will try return to Prague and give it a go again.

This was an incredible course with great instructors! Gwyneth, Stepanka and Tereza(Terka) were amazing teachers and the Director of the school Petra cares about your success in the course and is also very much involved with finding you work and helping you get situated in Prague. I can’t recommend this place enough! If you are looking for a great TEFL program while living in Prague this is the place!

It was a great decision to sign up with TeflProPrague for my TEFL-certification. Prague is generally known as a center for ESL teacher-training, and of all the schools available to choose from, it was wise for me to sign up with TeflProPrague. For starters, coming to Prague from abroad and having to start from scratch – getting training, finding work, getting accommodation, and all the necessary documents – can be a daunting prospect. But Petra, the coordinator of my school, has been of invaluable assistance, guiding myself and all my other fellow students through the process.

Through TeflProPrague’s course I have come to appreciate the real breadth of knowledge & skills that are required to become a good teacher. The course is accelerated, but there was so much content to cover that it was clear that the course could have gone on for a few weeks more. Still, by the end of the program, I felt more than equipped to enter the ESL classroom and conduct a well-organized class. I will qualify this by saying that there wasn’t much instruction on how to teach children, but after all one of the reasons I chose TeflProPrague was the section in the course devoted to ESL instruction for business professionals, which is the direction I wanted to go.

I was very happy with the teachers for my course. Sean, Gwyneth, Dany, and Stephanie – not only are they all great to get along with, but they each bring a depth of experience from teaching in the field. Perhaps most importantly, they each have a distinct style of approach to the craft, which opened my eyes to the variety of ways that you can be a good teacher. Dany for example often structures his lessons around different kinds of games; such classes can be very engaging for students, and language-learning takes place almost as a by-product of the activities.

The grammar of English is a core component of the course, but for me it was not a daunting as I feared it might be. I have studied a little grammar in the past, and I know how complicated English grammar can be; but our course really focused on those aspects of grammar (so, the parts of speech, the tenses, modal verbs, conditional sentences, etc) that are of most frequent concern for students. Different aspects of grammar are taught by all the instructors, and (for those teachers who want to stay on in the Czech Republic to teach) they very helpfully point to typical problems that Czech ESL speakers have with English grammar.

Perhaps in the end the course could have covered more grammar than it did, but I think the TeflProPrague course struck a good balance. The practical guidance from experienced & active teachers about how to conduct a class, and immediate feedback from them in our practice-teaching sessions, was simply invaluable for learning the craft of ESL. All told I am very happy that I chose TeflProPrague; going with them definitely made my first few months in Prague a very positive experience.

This TEFL course exceeded my expectations. My teachers Mila and Petra are experienced professionals who give each student plenty of individual attention and excellent feedback.

The point of difference in this course is the small class sizes and plenty of real life individual and in-company teaching practice. Mila and Petra are very helpful and approachable. They both understand how to teach English in the real world and deliver the course in very practical and enjoyable manner.
