This program is AWESOME! it completely prepared me to teach English and the resources I was given to thrive were plentiful. I was a bit nervous upon arriving but when I got here I was very much welcomed to a community of people who could steer me in the right direction and were happy to do so. The course was great and afterwards I felt confident to take on students of my own and had the tools to live in a brand new city and brand new culture. Although I completed the course in August, I am still living and teaching in Buenos Aires and am encouraged to return to the school whenever I want to catch up with the people there. Apart from the course, the city is also a REALLY cool place to live with plenty of things to do and a lot of foreigners from all over so you will be welcomed. Overall, come and learn and grow and live you wont regret it! TEFL Heaven does a great job to assure that!
At first when my plane landed and I freaked out about many things like if I was going to meet friends or I was going to be safe and comfortable. However, once I arrived to my host family that I stayed with for a month, I knew I was safe and had help from them if I needed it, and once I went to the first day of the course, I made friends with my peers and continue to make friends as I live here. After that initial anxiety everything has been pretty smooth sailing!
