I just finished up my TESOL course in Barva and what an incredible experience. It only took 4 weeks for me to feel like a confident, well prepared international English teacher and that’s all thanks to the amazing staff at Costa Rica TESOL. I was initially supposed to take the course in Nicaragua, but plans had to change with only 2 weeks before the course started and Georgia, the student affairs coordinator, was soooo helpful and super sweet from the very beginning. She made what could have been a really tough transition, as smooth as pie. Luke and Melanie are amazing to say the least. It’s apparent that they are teaching and speaking from years and years of experience and are also super personable and are willing to help with literally ANYTHING! It is really tough to stay sane and calm through an intensive course like this, but they both were there for us all when we fell and needed someone to “brush us off.” On top of it all, Barva is a beautiful little town with the some of the friendliest people I’ve ever met. With anything like this, you’re going to get out of it what you put into it, so as long as you come in with an open mind and ready for some bumps and bruises (knowing it’ll help in the long run) then this is the perfect place to take it!!
