TESOL is based in the United States with its main office in Alexandria, Virginia. It describes itself as “an international association of professionals advancing the quality of English language teaching through professional development, research, standards, and advocacy.” National organizations based outside the United States and affiliated with TESOL are listed in its Worldwide Affiliate Directory<\/a>.<\/p>\n

IATEFL – International Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language<\/strong> –\u00a0https:\/\/www.iatefl.org\/<\/a><\/p>\n

IATEFL is a UK-based professional membership organization and registered charity which began in 1967 as a forum for professional teachers.
