I did the Tefl Worldwide program this year and it was great! it is definitely an intense 4 weeks, but you learn so much! tThe main instructor is awesome and all of his teaching methods really help you to become a confident teacher. I met great people from all over the world and now live with 3 girls from my program! I got hired at one of the largest local language schools here in Prague before I even finished the course. They staff at TEFL Worldwide helped me to prepare for the interview with the school and I got hired on the spot. I would recommend this course to anyone who is looking for an exciting and new opportunity to work and live abroad. If you have any questions, let me know! I did the TEFL Worldwide Prague program back in 2006 and I STILL love talking about the wonderful things it did for me. The four weeks I spent in the program were some of the most memorable ones out of the year and a half I lived in Prague. The instrtuction, hands on teaching experience and the simple comfort of having a community there in Prague waiting for you were all WELL worth the money. Because I got my TEFL certiciate through TEFL Worldwide Prague I got to live and teach in Prague, South Korea, Peru and Spain! Even four years later I am still close with the people I met in that four week program. It was such a special experience that I will never ever forget. Awesome accomodations, engaging instruction and a beautiful, magical city to learn in…what could be better?! I highly recommend this program to anyone who is seeking a legitimate program that actually cares about its students. All the TEFL Worldwide teachers I know are competent teachers who are full of amazing stories from their time in the program. You can’t go wrong with this one…you should feel lucky you found it!

I was in the TEFL Worldwide Prague class in September of 2009, and had the most marvelous experience. I have absolutely no regrets about my choice. The classes and instructors were extremely helpful and every minute of instruction and preparation was meaningful. I could not have hoped for better instructors, and the school was very caring about all of us. My certification opened doors for me that were above my expectations. I have already worked at a school in the Czech Republic, and have offers in Barcelona, Poland, Germany, Turkey, and several other places where I am interested in teaching . In just four weeks of the class, I met some great people, including a number of Czech citizens, with whom I maintain contact. I’ve examined a lot of programs, but I’ll never regret my decision to take the course at TEFL Worldwide Prague. The instruction I received remains with me as I plan my lessons, and one cannot study at a place that has a better background than the city of Prague. For those people who hope to be able to teach TEFL around the world, you need to learn from the best, and the school has a worldwide reputation that cannot be matched by any other school. This means that doors wil be opened to you that were unexpected by you. This is the program that seems to excel above all others, and is a choice that you will never regret.

I just finished TEFL worldwide Prague on June 25th and let me tell you, it was one of the most rewarding experiences I have ever had the pleasure of being apart of. The trainers made the course interesting and exciting, all while teaching you so much new information! Don’t get me wrong, it was one of the toughest four weeks of my life, but I came out a better and more experienced person. I got hired at one of Prague’s biggest language schools three days after I graduated and haven’t regretted a day of my training yet. The teacher trainers (terry and dan) give you some of the most useful tools you will ever need. Even if you take this course and decide not to stay in Prague and teach, your skills that you take away will be some of the most useful tools you get. I advise anyone that is even considering taking this course to do it. I promise, you will not regret it one bit!!

The time at TEFL Worldwide was, as far as I can tell, a vital step to improve my career prospects as a tutor/lecturer and a beneficial program in general.
The course taught me a great variety of methods to tackle all imaginable situations one might face as a teacher. The provided opportunity to teach in an actual Czech language class gave me the security to apply everything that I learned for the best effect. The input given by the dedicated and helpful staff and TEFL-instructors has helped me ever since; the notes about grammar, phonetics and education are by far the most concise guidelines I received in my whole academic career and I use them for private repetition on a regular basis.
In my opinion, the program only had one minor issue. It may be not a definite point of criticism about the course but it should be mentioned that participants will most likely have to bring quite some extra cash to Prague. Classes can of course be held with a minimum of materials, but if you want to prepare and execute a diverse set of methods while teaching, you will definitely need to buy colored markers/paper/foil for an overhead projector and so on and so forth in order to do a top notch job. This, however, was just a minor setback in an otherwise great opportunity for avid language teachers to improve.
While I cannot comment on job placement right now, as I went back to university after the TEFL program and have only given one-on-one lessons since, I can assure you that out of the people who completed the program with me, everybody who immediately wanted to find a job as a language teacher has been able to find one within a few weeks.
TEFL Worldwide Prague definitely has much to offer and gives a great insight in how to improve one’s own teaching skills.

I would definitely recommend TEFL Worldwide to anyone - I had a great experience there. Terry, the instructor, is just all-around an incredible teacher, and I felt 100% prepared to start teaching after four weeks learning from him. The course is also really well-structured, with teaching practice with Czech students built into the schedule.

TEFL Worldwide has a great reputation among language schools in the city, which is really important for jobsearching. We had a job fair on the last day of the class where different schools did presentations and we could leave our CVs with their reps, and I was contacted only a few days after graduation for an interview and had a job within about 9 days of finishing the class.

Additionally, leading up to the course, during it, and after it, the staff at TEFL was incredibly helpful. They have answered countless questions for me regarding every part of the TEFL experience and the move to Prague, and even months after graduating, they still frequently send me e-mails with both short and long-term job opportunities.

If you’re considering the program, DO IT!!!

I took TEFL last summer and was thought that it was excellent! Terry (the main teacher) is great and I felt like I learned a lot and was much more comfortable in the classroom than I otherwise would have been. The course was definitely more work than I anticipated it was going to be. You are thrown right in and it can definitely be stressful at times, but it is great preparation for when you get a job. Everyone at TEFL is extremely friendly and truly cares about you actually learning how to be a good teacher. I would recommend it wholeheartedly.

If you want quality, then this program is it. Nothing is given to you. You have to earn every bit of it. That’s why I picked TEFL Worldwide over the other language schools. The staff and faculty are wonderful. They make sure you have all the tools needed to complete the program. The teachers are hands on and have years of real world experience. TEFL Worldwide Prague is the only school that I have attended outside of the U.S. so I don’t have anything to judge it against, however, from some of the less than satisfying stories I have heard, I can confidently say that it is one of the best. Going into the course I really didn’t know what I wanted to do after becoming certified. In many ways I still don’t know today. But during the course I quickly realized something that I didn’t know before going to Prague. I realized that teaching is something that I have a passion for. TEFL Prague teaches you to teach the way that a second language should be taught, and it’s integrated Czech lessons prove that learning a language is not only about the student, but about the Teacher as well and how that teacher presents the material and makes it fun and interactive. To sum it up, In just one month TEFL Prague opened my eyes to a life of being able to teach and travel, and sent me away with a lifetime full of memories and friendships. I highly recomend this school.

I took this course over 6 years ago and it remains one of the most challenging and satisfying things I have done educationally to-date. In four short weeks I learned more about the English language than I did in 26 years of “being native” (which I thought was the main selling point for me teaching abroad). TEFL Worldwide gave me the tools to understand why things worked the way they did in English and HOW to convey that successfully and simply to students. I felt so confident leaving TEFL Worldwide, that I didn’t become one of those “come-and-go” vacation teachers; no, I’ve been teaching abroad now for 6 years and I don’t see myself going back. I took this course a few months ago, and it was one of the best decisions i’ve ever made. the teachers were great- friendly, helpful and approachable, even after the course was over. The office staff is incredibly helpful too, and are available even after the course to help with visa questions and job questions. I’m so happy I took this course, it is so high quality, and they make you work REALLY hard- which pays off in the long run! I completely recommend TEFL Worldwide!

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience with TEFL Worldwide. Dan is an amazing teacher and I loved learning from him. He’s very patient, smart and made learning easy and fun. I loved the curriculum, how we were taught to teach grammar, all the suggestions we were given for lesson plans and being able to practice on real students.

I appreciate the location of the housing to the school. The villa was very comfortable, clean and close to the school, public transportation and grocery shopping. The internet situation was trying at first, but I was grateful when it all got worked out.

I think the school facility is nice. It was clean and user friendly.

I loved the one-to-one experience. I thought it was great.

I really appreciated my experience at TEFL Worldwide. I have recommended the school to many people, as many were very intrigued by my adventure. I will continue to recommend the school to anyone who asks.
