The course was pretty good, lots of feedback and peer review. It’s not accredited, despite what they say on their website, but it will lead to a job offer with the school as long as you’re a marginally competent person who can read and write. Overall, I would say that a CELTA is a better option as it carries more weight.
A word to the wise: you can’t enter the Czech Republic on a tourist visa and then “switch” to a work visa anymore. You have to apply from outside the country. Quite a few Caledonian School TEFL students who were offered jobs after completing the course were forced to leave the country because the school was using back-door dealings to get around the visa laws. Don’t take my word for it, check the Czech embassy website in your home country before signing up for a course with the intention of taking advantage of the job guarantee. Then, ask yourself if you want to work for a company that is not on the up and up in general.

what a mess. i walked out after a week.
six students were standing around the printers to print out their homework. but, none of the printers worked. three days later, still, none of the printers worked.
everything was like that.
we spent mornings the first week learning Gaelic. GAELIC!
i was on the schedule with two other students to do 30 minutes of a 90 minutes class. this was to be monitored by a part-time teacher. he was very surprised that noone had told us what was expected or how to put together a lesson plan. he was also awesomely competent. in five minutes, while he reviewed this fiasco of a class, we learned more about putting together a lesson plan than we had entire first week of Gaelic.
stay away. nice people. good esl teachers. but they couldn’t find their butt with a map when it comes of organizing a school or a curriculum.
i enjoyed prague more than london or paris.
